Google Apps (G Suite)
G Suite, or Google Apps for Education, provides access to Google Classroom, Google Drive (Docs, Keep and My Tracks), Google Sites and YouTube. Other Google services, including Gmail and Google Calendar, are not accessible through your NDSU G Suite account.
Overview
Google Classroom : Classroom helps instructors and students communicate, save time and stay organized. Google Classroom should not be seen as a substitute or replacement for Blackboard. Blackboard remains the officially supported Learning Management System (LMS) at NDSU. Retention and backup of any course materials, grades, or any other content in Google Classrooms is the responsibility of end users of G Suite. Please see Records Management for more information about records retention and management.
Google Drive : Google Drive – which includes apps like Docs, Drawings, Forms, Slides and Sheets – provides unlimited storage and allows you to access your files from anywhere.
Google Sites : Google Sites can be used to create dynamic websites with embedded documents, presentations and videos.
YouTube : Each G Suite account has a YouTube channel associated with it. These channels belong to an individual and cannot have multiple managers / collaborators. Additional channels (Brand account channels) may be created if a YouTube channel with multiple managers is needed.
