Getting Started

  • All new Zoom users should activate their Zoom accounts
  • Log into the web portal to set up your default Zoom settings. It is recommended Zoom participants download the Zoom client. Most NDSU-owned computers and all classroom computers will have the application installed by default. 

Best Practices

  • During a Zoom meeting, the host controls all security settings and meeting tools. For more information visit the Zoom Security and Zoom Navigation KB pages. 
  • It is recommended for any NDSU activities including class sessions and work meetings to log into the NDSU Zoom portal or desktop client. Most meeting hosts require authorization to attend. This ensures a secure virtual meeting space for all participants.
