Blackboard Manager

Below is an overview of Blackboard (Bb) Manager.

Overview

Blackboard is the official Learning Management System for NDSU that connects students, faculty, and staff both inside and outside of the classroom. Blackboard (Bb) Manager allows instructors to merge different sections of the same course in Blackboard.

Getting Started

Instructors will have immediate access to courses they are scheduled to teach without activating each course individually in Bb Manager..

Universal Design/Accessibility

Using strategies and guidelines from Universal Design for Learning and ensuring all of the course content is accessible creates a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment..

Best Practices

  • Do not have content in the courses you plan to merge.
  • Make Note of Parent Course Blackboard ID: When you merge courses, you must write down the course ID number of the newly created Parent course, if you want to retrieve the course content from the archives in the future. Go to Blackboard to view the new parent course and ID number. Make note of the ID so if you need to get a copy after it is removed from Blackboard  after one year and one semester you will have the ID number.
