Fall 27 Classroom Technology Changes

In a continued effort to adjust the level of technology in our classrooms to match the need of our campus community, we are making the following changes to our classrooms during the summer of 2027, taking effect with the start of the Fall 27 semester.

Rooms Changed from Distance to Essential Classrooms

These rooms will lose their Zoom Room computers, audience microphones, and cameras

Essential vs Distance Classrooms

Distance classrooms are fully equipped classroom spaces that allow for a full video conference experience with audience microphones and room cameras. Essential classrooms are spaces designed for in-person instruction with the option for lecture capture, but without the additional equipment needed in a full videoconference connection. Computer Labs

Reservable Computer Labs, BYOD Hybrid Computer Labs, and Open Computer Labs, which are accessible on a first-come, first-served basis, are maintained by central campus resources.

Reservable BYOD Hybrid Computer Lab:This lab features a limited number of desktop computers and multiple Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) stations equipped with power outlets, allowing students to use their own laptops in a flexible, technology-supported environment.
