This workshop introduces key strategies for creating accessible presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint. Participants will learn to use the Accessibility Checker, apply best practices for slide design, and add features like alternative text and proper reading order to ensure inclusiveness.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: 

  • Use the Accessibility Checker in PowerPoint to identify accessibility issues 

  • Create accessible slides using built-in layouts and correct reading order 

  • Add accessible content, including slide titles, alternative text for images, and descriptive text 

  • Apply basic accessibility best practices, such as avoiding color-only meaning in slides
