This workshop introduces essential techniques for creating accessible digital documents in Microsoft Word. Participants will learn to use the Accessibility Checker, apply best practices like headings, alternative text, and descriptive links.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: 

  • Run the Accessibility Checker in Word and interpret Errors, Warnings, and Tips 

  • Remediate common accessibility issues in Word documents using built-in tools 

  • Apply core accessibility best practices in Word, including headings, lists, alternative text, tables, descriptive links and avoiding color-only meaning
