Departmental Printing

Printing is available to faculty and staff through their departmental units.

Overview

Departmental printing services offer a convenient and cost-effective way to handle an organization's printing and copying needs, with added benefits of service and supply management, secured access, and efficient billing. These services are essential for managing and distributing various documents within an organization. They often include multi-function copier/printers that can handle printing, copying, scanning, and faxing, which helps to save space and reduce costs associated with maintaining multiple devices. These services typically offer secured printing using User Codes, and departments can directly place service calls to vendors for any issues. Single-function and Multi-function Printers/Scanners/Copiers/FAX on campus are provided by Print and Copy Services, 231-5000.

Moreover, departments are encouraged to use centralized printing services for large printing jobs to save costs and resources. For example, guidelines suggest using the Print Shop for printing more than 100 black and white pages or more than 25 color pages, as the cost per page is least when using the Sharp Printer/Copiers provided by the institution.
