Frequently asked questions and their answers about the Secure File Transfer service.
How do I delete a file?
When the link(s) to a file expire or are deleted, the file is removed almost immediately. To manually delete a file:
- Go to Secure File Transfer, and log in with your Bison Login account
- At the top of the page, click FileLink
- Click the Existing FileLinks tab
- Click Delete for all links to the file you wish to delete
What if I need to extend the time my file is available for download?
You may either create a new link using the instructions on Secure File Transfer - Creating a FileLink or you may extend the expiration date for a link for up to fourteen days:
- Go to Secure File Transfer, and log in with your Bison Login account
- At the top of the page, click FileLink
- Click the Existing FileLinks tab
- Click on the Filename's Link
- Edit the Link expires date
How can I send a file that exceeds the quota?

How do I transfer a group of files or a folder?
Zip the files, or a folder and its contents, into a single file. Then attach or upload the zipped file.
Can I store files using Secure File Transfer?
Secure File Transfer is used to send and receive files; however, it is not a file storage service. Files are automatically removed from the server when the links expire.
