Respondus LockDown Browser

Below is an overview of Respondus LockDown Browser at NDSU.

Overview

The Respondus LockDown Browser prevents printing, copying, pasting, and access to other applications or Web sites. Most browser menu and toolbar options are removed, and right-click options are disabled during an exam. At NDSU, Respondus LockDown Browser is compatible with Mac and Windows but not Chromebooks

Getting Started

Best Practices

  • Instruct students to close all other applications and browsers before starting the exam
  • Remind them that they will be unable to navigate away from the exam, and the browser will prevent access to other software during the test.
