Q: What browser do I need to use?
A: You need to use Chrome
Q: Can I use multiple monitors with Honorlock?
A: No, you can only use one monitor when using Honorlock. You will need to unplug other monitors before you can begin your assessment.
Q: Can I use a computer without a camera?
A: No, your computer must have a camera to use Honorlock.
Q: How do I enable the Honorlock extension on my computer?
A:
- Open the Chrome browser and go to Manage Profiles by clicking on your image at the top right. Manage Profiles in at the bottom of the list.
- Click Add New Profile
- Sign in using your NDSU email address (e.g., firstname.lastname@ndsu.edu)
- On the Bison login page, enter your Bison credentials
- After successful authentication, your NDSU profile will be added
- Once your profile is set up, access Blackboard through your NDSU profile and follow the prompts to install and use Honorlock as needed.
Q: My exam/quiz is not available on Blackboard. What should I do?
A: If the exam is not available in Blackboard, contact your course instructor.
Q: What if I get kicked out of the exam or receive a submission error?
A: If your exam is submitted early or has problems, contact your course instructor.
Q: What are the technical requirements for proctored exams?
A:
- All exams are taken online. You need a computer with internet access. Do not take exams on smartphones or tablets.
- Take exams in a private, well-lit space.
- Wireless internet connections are not recommended (use a wired connection if possible).
- Your web browser and operating system must meet the Technical Requirements (found on the Minimum Systems Requirements page).Your browser must accept cookies.
