This section offers quick answers to common student questions about using Honorlock for exams.

Question 1: 
What browser do I need to use?
Answer:
You will need to use Google Chrome and be logged in with your @ndsu.edu email account.  

Question 2:
Can I use multiple monitors with Honorlock?
Answer: No, you can only use one monitor when using Honorlock. You will need to unplug other monitors before you can begin your assessment.

Question 3: Can I use a computer without a camera?
Answer: No, your computer must have a camera to use Honorlock. We recommend you go through the HonorPrep Guided Tour before you take your assessment. 

Question 4: How do I enable the Honorlock extension on my computer?
Answer: Visit our Honorlock- Student KB page to learn how to enable the Honorlock extension on your computer.  

Question 5: My exam/quiz is not available on Blackboard. What should I do?
Answer: If the exam is not available in Blackboard, contact your course instructor.

Question 6: What if I get kicked out of the exam or receive a submission error?
Answer: Users should contact Honorlock 24/7/365 Support for technical issues and their instructor for course-related questions.

Question 7: What are the technical requirements for proctored exams?
Answer: We recommend you go through the HonorPrep Guided Tour before you take your assessment.

Question 8: I received an error saying “Access to screen share was denied from the computer.” What should I do?
Answer: For Mac Users, go to System Settings > Security & Privacy > Screen Recording, and make sure Google Chrome is checked. For Windows Users, open your Privacy Settings by typing “privacy settings” in the Windows search bar. Ensure that Camera and Microphone access are enabled for apps, especially for Google Chrome.
