Record & Submit YuJa Videos in Blackboard
Learn how to record and submit YuJa videos in Blackboard. This KB article is typically for student users.
Creating YuJa Recordings
- Users will access YuJa through Blackboard using their NDUS credentials (first.lastname).
- Users only need to install the YuJa Software Capture Application once on their computer. To learn more, visit the Download & Install YuJa Software Station KB page.
- Please note that Chromebooks are not supported at this time.
Start Recording a Video
YuJa: How to Record and Upload Content
- Log into Blackboard, find your course, and select Books & Tools.
- Under Available Tools, select YuJa - NDSU
- On the next page, select Create Recording at the top of the YuJa Media Library page.
- Click Launch Application

- Enter a Title and Description.
- Set/test your video, audio, and screen preferences in the configuration menu on the left side of the Software Capture preview page.
- Confirm the settings in the preview window and check the audio indicator to make sure the microphone is working.
- Click “Start” to begin recording.
Submitting YuJa Videos as Assignment Submissions
- Log into Blackboard, find your course, and select your assignment.
- Start an attempt on the desired assignment.
- Then you will select the plus sign on the text editor ribbon and select the Content Market button in the drop-down box.

- After selecting content market, you will now want to select YuJa Media Chooser- NDSU.

- Select the video that you want to turn in.
- Select the Insert Content button in the bottom right of the screen.

- Change the Display name to a relevant submission title and select the insert button.
- Finally, submit your assignment by selecting the submit button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
