Download & Install YuJa Software Station

This information will help instructors, staff, and students recording content using YuJa.

First Time Set-Up

No download is needed to view video content in YuJa. However, to record for the first time, you must install the YuJa Software Capture for Mac/PC. You can use screen capture or your webcam and microphone to create recordings, which can be shared.

You only need to install the YuJa Software Capture once, but it’s important to keep it updated to avoid sync issues. Uninstall older versions and install the latest version for best performance. Windows users will receive update notifications, but this is not currently available to Mac users.

To create a recording with YuJa, you must use the Software Capture application. It's a one-time download, so you won’t need to repeat the installation process for your next recording. Please see YuJa's support page for more information about the system requirements.

Download & install on a Mac/PC

To get started, log in to Blackboard and navigate to any Ultra course. Check the plus to add content and then navigate to Content Market and select YuJa NDSU.

At the top of the YuJa homepage, click Create Recording, and a pop-up will prompt you to download and install the recording software (available for Mac and PC). After it’s installed, clicking Launch Application within the same pop-up will automatically open the desktop application, and you can start recording.
