Below is an overview of identity and access management at NDSU.
Overview
Through identity and access management, NDSU provides self-service capabilities to faculty and staff who are responsible for managing departmental and cross-departmental access to certain IT services, including group access to departmental workstation computers. Grouper, a web-based tool for IT System group management, is what NDSU uses for identity and access management.
Using Grouper, service managers may have the ability to:
- Managing AD groups and share drive access
- Auto-populate core mailing lists (listservs)
- Control access to core services (computer lab login, Adobe, CMS, Google Analytics, etc.)
- Provide "account-info" lookup
