Training and workshops provided by the Instructional Design Center.

Overview

The Instructional Design Center (IDC) provides various opportunities to enhance your teaching practice, increase your productivity, and explore creative possibilities. In addition to our normal software and applications training schedule, we also offer training by request to support classes, organizations, and work groups.

Software and Application Training

The IDC offers monthly training sessions during the academic school year open to NDSU students, staff, and, faculty. Information regarding the monthly training session, like dates and times, is emailed from the IDC to the student, staff, and faculty NDSU listservs. For specific details regarding the training session, please visit our KB page Software and Application Training Catalog

Current training topics include:

  • Programs and software used for course projects, such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Camtasia
  • Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Microsoft Excel sessions
  • Thesis formatting through assistance using Microsoft Word
  • CMS/TYPO 3 training (only open to students and staff currently working in a department that uses CMS)
  • Improve accessibility of documents using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe PDF files.
