Save the Date: Inauguration of NDSU's 16th President Oct. 1

The NDSU community is invited to celebrate the inauguration of President Marshall Stewart on Thursday, Oct. 1, with a ceremony, a campus lunch, and an evening celebration during Homecoming week.

Please save the date for Thursday, Oct. 1, as the university community comes together as One NDSU to celebrate the inauguration of the 16th president, Marshall Stewart. The inauguration takes place during Homecoming week at North Dakota State University and includes three events open to the campus community. More details and formal invitations will be shared in the coming weeks.

Inauguration Ceremony

The formal academic ceremony begins with a processional at 9:45 a.m., followed by the ceremony from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Festival Concert Hall in Challey Hall. The program includes this year's State of the University address, delivered by President Stewart as part of the full inauguration program.

Inaugural Community and Campus Lunch

A casual, come-and-go gathering with a complimentary meal runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at an outdoor location on campus, with the Memorial Union Oceti Sakowin Ballroom as the weather contingency location. Everyone is invited to stop by, connect, and celebrate together.

President's Inaugural Celebration

The celebration at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds begins with a social at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. This is a formal, black-tie optional ticketed event, with ticket pricing reflecting the full dinner and program.
