Graduate Certificates in Analytics, Engineering, and Tech Now Open to Applicants

Anyone with a bachelor's degree can apply for an NDSU graduate certificate, a short set of three or four courses that builds specialized skills and can count toward a related master's degree.

The Graduate School is highlighting graduate certificates available at NDSU this summer. This installment features certificates in analytics, engineering, and technology.

If you hold a bachelor's degree, you are eligible to apply. Most certificates include three or four courses. Earning one lets you gain specialized knowledge, strengthen your resume or C.V., and, if you are interested in the related master's program, complete a significant portion of the required coursework.

Available Certificates

  • Big Data Applied Statistical Analysis: Applied Statistical Machine Learning, Basic Computational Statistics Using R, Introduction to Data Science, and Statistical Big Data Visualization.
  • Business Analytics: Business Analytics Concepts, Business Analytics Strategy, Business Analytics Methods, and Marketing Analytics and Customer Intelligence.
  • Construction Management: Scheduling and Project Control, Construction Cost Estimating, and Construction Management.
  • Cybersecurity: Defensive Cybersecurity, Ethical Hacking, Cybersecurity Forensics, and one elective.
  • Energy Engineering: choose a specialization in Buildings (9 credits), Generation (9 credits), or Vehicles (9 credits).
  • Geographic Information Systems: Introduction to Geographic Information Systems, Advanced Geographic Information Systems, and one elective.
  • Nuclear Engineering: courses will be posted in the Catalog soon.
  • Professional Writing: Usability and User Experience, International Technical Writing, Researching and Writing Grants and Proposals, and one elective.
  • Software Engineering: Software Development Processes and two electives.
  • Statistics: Applied Statistics and three additional courses.
