Core Technology Services has posted presentation materials and recordings from its Spring 2026 Community Conversations, which drew a 4.5 out of 5 average satisfaction rating across all 11 NDUS institutions.
In April and May, Core Technology Services (CTS) hosted Community Conversations at all 11 NDUS institutions, with both onsite and online participation. Sessions covered interim legislative committee activity, CTS projects, and active RFPs, along with demonstrations of the CTS ticketing and procurement systems.
Each session closed with a question-and-answer segment, and post-event surveys gave the series an average satisfaction rating of 4.5 out of 5. Presentation materials and recordings are available on the NDUS CTS Communications SharePoint page.
Questions and Follow-Up Items
Several questions raised during the sessions received follow-up responses. Highlights include:
- ERP Modernization: Campuses will receive funding support, including resources for preand post-transition backfill, and the implementation plan accounts for the cost of retraining users through the Organizational Change Management workstream.
- Password Vaults: CTS does not currently support, provide, or recommend a password vault solution, though it uses LastPass internally and can share procurement and pricing information. Some NDUS institutions also use other tools, such as Bitwarden.
- Starfish: Starfish will remain in place under a renewed contract. Any future change would require user feedback and a formal RFP process.
- HighPoint Course Auditor: The project is in the configuration and testing phase, with broader campus testing expected soon and summer 2026 production readiness still targeted. An “Intro to Course Auditor” meeting was scheduled with institutions on June 5.
- Power BI Training: CTS no longer has outsourced Power BI training funding, but a newly recorded “What Is Power BI?” video is available through the Data Analytics User Group Discovery Hour trainings, with more videos planned.
- Student Media Storage: Campuses should check with their local Blackboard contact about options through the NDUS-provided YuJa platform.
- PolicyStat: A system-wide contract may be possible. Requests can be submitted through one of the councils for the CIO Council to consider, and an RFP or quote process can move forward if there is sufficient interest.
Questions can be sent to the CTS Communications Shared Email Box.
