Consulting is allowed under NDSU Policy 152 (see section 5.1). Before any consulting activities begin, the employee must obtain authorization via the Consulting Authorization Request.

As part of the Docusign process, all Consulting Authorization Requests are reviewed by the Research Integrity and Compliance Office for potential conflicts of interest, as well as Export Controls for any activities that will be taking place outside of the United States.
