Understanding ChatGPT and Its Implications in Higher Education
Overview:
Regenerative AIs such as ChatGPT have generated a lot of concerns as well as present opportunities in Higher Education. The goal of this workshop is to discuss ChatGPT, explain how it works, and examine its challenges and possible opportunities.
Learning Objectives:
After attending the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Explain what ChatGPT is and how it works.
- Identify some challenges and opportunities of using ChatGPT.
- Discuss the potential benefits and limitations of using ChatGPT.
ChatGPT is Here: What Should I Know?
Overview:
With the potential of AI technologies, like ChatGPT, discussing their implications within higher education is imperative. The goal of the workshop is to explore possible ways of using or not AI tools in higher education.
Learning Objectives:
After attending the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Explain how Generative AI (like ChatGPT) works.
- Discuss possible practical applications of ChatGPT for teaching and learning.
- Describe concerns associated with the use of AI (e.g., fairness, privacy, and transparency).
