Microsoft Accessibility - Hearing Training Agenda (Level 100)

Users will come away with the ability to tailor their Windows and Office experience through the understanding of the integrated features that make out product one of the most inclusive in the industry.

Thesis Formatting in Word

Thursday, April 8 - 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM

Students will be able to identify and fix common problems in long word documents such as Thesis or Dissertations

Learning Objectives:
  • Understanding scheme of pages
  • Applying margins 
  • Understanding the difference between section breaks and page breaks
  • Applying page numbers
  • Understanding and applying styles 
  • Creating an automatic table of contents 
  • Creating an automatic list of table and figures 
  • Landscape pages (if time allows)
Prerequisites: Basic understanding of Windows and Microsoft Word

Excel - Doing Something with Data

Thursday, April 29 - 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM

  • In this workshop, you will take your knowledge of Excel a step further and learn how to manage, manipulate, and represent your data in a meaningful way. Use filters to only see the data that's the most relevant to your analysis. Create graphs and charts to create a visual representation of your data. Learn the basics of the powerful Pivot Tables and Charts to analyze all of your data at once.
