Product Information
Microsoft Windows 11 was released on October 5, 2021. NDSU IT has tested Window 11 with our core application software to ensure it is compatible on IT managed computers
Starting in the Fall of 2023 the Computer Lab Environment will be using Windows 11.

Recommendation
Microsoft Windows 11 and 10 are supported by NDSU IT on IT managed computers.
Additionally, HP computers older than a couple of years old cannot run Windows 11 due to the hardware requirements of the operating system. Please refer to the HP document for supported hardware for Windows 11.
As with any major OS upgrade, we recommend you back up your data before you upgrade.
System Requirements
Microsoft has listed the following system requirements for Windows 11.

Internet connection | For all Windows 11 editions, internet access is required to perform updates and to download and take advantage of some features. A Microsoft account is required for some features. |
