LAIC Book Discussion

Welcome to the What Inclusive Instructors Do book discussion hosted by the Learning & Applied Innovation Center instructional designers.

What Inclusive Instructors Do: Principles and Practices
for Excellence in College Teaching

By: Tracie Marcella Addy, Derek Dube, Khadijah A. Mitchell, and Mallory SoRelle

This book is a journey traveling through stories shared by the authors introducing us to a framework
that creates and supports inclusive classroom environments (in person & online).  Authors of the book
created a trailer, to help get us excited about reading their book - https://youtu.be/i1EJrNBKgtE

The book is organized into three sections with a total of seven chapters. Our instructional designers
will facilitate discussions for each of the chapters. Discussion facilitators will develop several
questions to facilitate their chapters. We have scheduled the meetings for 60 minutes, 15 min for each
chapter with a wrap-up summary of the section for 15 minutes (approximately). Let us know if you
have any questions.
