LAI supports faculty, staff and students in effective and innovative uses of technology in the learning environment through consultations.

Technology, by its very nature, is always changing. Whether these changes are designed to enhance your work, increase your productivity, or meet the needs and expectations of today's students it can be a challenge to steer the impact of this technology evolution.

LAI supports faculty, staff and students in effective and innovative uses of technology in the learning environment. We support new ways of teaching and learning, including creative approaches to faculty-student engagement, course design and implementation, and the integration of technology into the academic environment.

New Collaboration

Through a new collaboration with the Office of Teaching and Learning, NDSU faculty and instructors now have access to an instructional design team through the Learning and Applied Innovation (LAI) team. Whether you are an experienced teacher looking for a few curriculum design tips or a faculty member new to teaching, you can benefit from a consultation with them.

Instructional design is an important element in ensuring your students are learning your content efficiently and remembering what they learned. To request a consultation with one of our team members, please fill out the LAI Instructional Design Consultation Request form no less than 6-12 weeks prior to the expected launch of date of your proposed course. Schedule early as instructional design services are offered on a first come first-served basis.

Complete the LAI Instructional Design Consultation form to make a request.
