Computer Lab Printing

There are 34 computer labs at NDSU with 44 GoPrint stations. Each student gets 500 B&W pages per semester loaded on their student ID card to print materials.

Overview

To keep printing costs for students as low as possible and to reduce waste, Information Technology Services (ITS) at NDSU has installed a print-management system in all public computer labs, the campus libraries, and some departmental labs. Managed printing is funded jointly by ITS and the Technology Fee Advisory Committee.

NDSU ID Cards are needed in order to print in NDSU's public computer labs. Each semester, NDSU students will be able to print a fixed number of pages at no charge (a "printing allocation"). Once this allocation is expended, additional printing will be charged to the student's Campus Cash account at 3 cents per page for black and white printing, and 15 cents per page for color.

Tri-College students who are taking classes at NDSU may purchase a Campus Cash card from the NDSU Card Center in the Memorial Union in order to pay for their printing. The card costs five dollars plus the amount deposited to the account.

Library guest patrons who are not affiliated with NDSU and do not have an NDSU ID Card may purchase a card at the main Library to pay for their printing.
