FY27 Research Development Conference Travel Fund

Research Development Conference Travel Awards help cover travel expenses for a national-level conference in the United States at which the recipient will give an oral presentation on their research.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be a tenured or tenure track professor, or a professor or practice whose appointment includes research.
  • Have received notice of acceptance for an oral presentation. Poster presentations are not eligible, and applications for presentations with acceptance still pending will not be reviewed. 
  • Travel must not have occurred before the award application is submitted. Requests for retroactive funding for completed travel will not be considered.
  • Be traveling to a conference within the United States. International travel is not eligible.

 AWARD LIMIT

  • Awards are for a maximum of $1,000.
  • Eligible expenses include conference registration, airfare, per diem, and hotels.
  • Expenses, including airfare or registration fees, will only be eligible for reimbursement after the conclusion of the conference and/or travel. 
  • Awards are limited to one per individual for this fiscal year.

 APPLICATION

The application form requires the following information:

  • Applicant name and contact information
  • Conference name, dates, and location
  • An upload of proof of acceptance for an oral presentation
  • A cost estimate
  • The email address of your supervisor (Head/Chair or Dean). This individual will be asked to approve your application prior to routing to the Research and Creative Activity office for review.
