Email from Novelution saying CITI training is missing.

This is a very common question.  There are a couple reasons for this:

  1. The Novelution and CITI systems sync with each other after hours. This means if a protocol was submitted during the day, an email will go out , even if the training is complete and/or a certificate has been uploaded in the research team panel for a certain researcher, because the systems haven't had time to sync with each other.

  2. You have a different email on your CITI profile than you do on your Novelution profile.  These emails need to match for the systems to sync with each other.

How to check who is missing CITI:

  1. Select Requirements from Panel Shortcuts within the protocol.
  2. Scroll down until you see the person who has a green block by their name; the green block indicates a missing task or criteria.
  3. That person's CITI training needs to be verified, either by the system or manually by the IRB office.

How to update CITI:

  1. Training certificates are matched by your email address
  2. To ensure that your training can be automatically verified, please:
  3. Use your NDSU email address as your primary contact in the CITI program, OR
  4. Update your CITI email address in your Novelution profile (Click 'Edit User Profile' under Profile and Settings).
  5. Remember that training is a hard stop in the protocol process!
