Tips for Graduate Students - IACUC protocols

  • It's important to ensure that you are an approved member of the research team for any project on which you intend to work.
  • You can view all research protocols that you have been added to by logging in to Novelution.
    • Navigate to Search IACUC Protocols under the IACUC tab.
    • All protocols you are listed on should automatically appear below the search bars, but if you are looking for a specific protocol you can also use the Search functionality to search by protocol number, PI, or title.
  • Approval letters can be accessed in the "Correspondence" tab.
    • If you cannot find the appropriate approval letter, contact the IACUC office (701-231-8114).  Please provide the PI name, protocol number and/or title.
  • Reporting protocol deviations or adverse events - All research team members have a responsibility to report deviations from the approved protocols and/or adverse events that occur.  If you are not comfortable discussing the situation with your PI, please contact the IACUC or the Attending Veterinarian offices.
