Secure File Transfer - Filedrop

This option allows you to create a Filedrop URL through which anyone with the URL can upload files. This is a good option if you need to collect files regularly, as you do not need to create a unique File Request each time.
  1. Go to Secure File Transfer, (https://filetransfer.ndsu.edu) and log in with your Bison Login
  2. Click on Gear icon in the upper right corner of the window and select Account Settings
  3. Click the Personal Filedrop tab
  4. You can use a random Filedrop (https://filetransfer.ndsu.edu/filedrop/~<random numbers>)  or a permanent Filedrop URL (https://filetransfer.ndsu.edu/filedrop/<your email address>)
Note: The random Filedrop URL can be reset, once reset the previous URL will be broken and unusable
  5. Copy the desired URL and you can put this URL in your email signature, send the URL via email to others, or place the URL on a website, essentially anywhere you wish to receive files from
  6. Once someone has uploaded a file you will receive an email with their message and a link to the file they uploaded
  7. Click the link and log into the Secure File Transfer site with your Bison Login
    1. Alternatively, you can click on Inbox to see all the files that are available for you to download
  8. Click the Attached files link to download the file
