SciENcv: Creating and Connecting the Required Accounts
SciENcv (Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae) is a feature within My NCBI designed to help researchers create personnel documents, and is required for those grant submissions that require use of the Common Forms.
SciENcv requires linking an active ORCiD account, and in some instances also requires an agency account: eRA Commons for NIH or USDA, or Research.gov for NSF. If you need to set up either an agency account or an ORCiD account, please see the links below.
Logging into SciENcv for the first time:
- If you have an existing MyNCBI account:
- Sign into your existing MyNCBI account
- Link your ORCiD account through the account settings page.
- If you DO NOT have an existing MyNCBI account:
- Sign in using a third-party partner:
- eRA Commons account
- Research.gov account
- ORCiD account
- Login.gov
- Sign in using a third-party partner:
- Complete your identifying information under “My Profile.” Select the ‘edit’ option to add personal data.
- Ensure that your ORCiD account is properly linked to SciENcv: Click on your username in the upper right corner and select “Account Settings”. Scroll down to the “Linked Accounts” section. Your ORCID account should be listed as one of the linked accounts. If not, click on “Add Account” and search for ORCiD. Once selected, you will be prompted to authorize access to your ORCiD profile.
*After the first log-in, you can use any of the above methods to log-in, or log-in utilizing your institutional (NDSU) credentials.
