Voicemail for Telephone - Retrieving Voice Messages

How to retrieve voice messages using the telephone user interface.

  • Log in to access mailbox
    • Press 1 to listen to messages
    • Press 1 to listen to unread messages
    • Press 2 to listen to read messages
    • Press 9 to listen to all messages NDSU

Note: pressing the * at any time will take you back 1 level the menu. This is consistent throughout Avaya Messaging

PressWhile Listening to, or at end of message:
#Skip the message. Your Message Waiting Lamp will remain on unless you listened to the entire message
7Delete the message – You may delete it at any point while listening to it
4Save the message and turn off the Message Waiting Lamp once all new messages are saved, deleted, or completely listened- to
1Rewind a few seconds.
11Rewind to the beginning of the message
2Pause/Resume
3Fast Forward a few seconds
33Skip to the End of the Message
5Play Message Header—Date, Time etc.
6Forward the message
