Lapel Mics - How to Plug-in
Below are instructions on how to plug in your lapel mic without damaging them.
We are seeing issues of lapel mics being plugged into the instructor station incorrectly, breaking the hardware in the belt-packs in the instructor stations. These are very expensive to replace, so we ask instructors to use extra care in plugging them in and removing them.
- For proper installation, the release button must be facing to the front of the belt pack.
- Push the cable straight down and in. Do not push the cable in and turn it. Turning the cord can result in the pins bending - ruining the mics.
Below is what the setup should look like. Notice the release button is facing forward.
