Emergency Technologies

NDSU Emergency Technologies consist of Cable TV/EAS, Card Access and Video Surveillance. Find out more about each below.

Overview

Cable TV/EAS

NDSU is provided a full set of cable channels in both high definition (HD) and standard definition formats for public areas such as lobbies and major building corridors. In addition to providing localized cable television programming or departmental digital signage, NDSU is provided visual information as a component of the Emergency Alert System (EAS). In case of an emergency these public displays provide important campus information. Often public displays are coupled with departmental displays to meet both EAS and departmental needs.
