Authentication is a way of correctly and securely identifying the user logging into a certain account. This protects your accounts from being logged into by someone who is not you.
Overview
There are two types of authentication for accessing your NDSU services
- Central Authentication Service (CAS) : Provides centralized authentication for supported Web applications, including those hosted by qualified third parties
- InCommon : the U.S. education and research identity federation that provides a common framework for trusted shared management of access to online resources
