Blackboard Manager
Below is an overview of Blackboard (Bb) Manager.
Overview
Blackboard is a learning management system used as an online resource for instructors and the entire NDSU and North Dakota University System community. This page is for instructors who teach face-to-face, and online courses. The resources included help to guide instructors in designing, delivering, and teaching their courses using Blackboard Learn.
Getting Started
Instructors will have immediate access to courses. Beginning with the Spring 2024 term, you will have access to the courses you are scheduled to teach without the need to activate each course individually.

Best Practices
- Course merges have not changed and will continue to be done using Blackboard Manager. After merging, content can be added to the parent course by copying from a previous semester or uploading new content.
Learn More/How To's
- If there is a course you do not want to see in your course list you can hide the course(s) from your view: Navigating the Blackboard Learn Original Courses Page.
- To copy an entire course, or selectively duplicate specific course components you need, you will use the course copy tool in your Blackboard course for all of your copying needs: Course Copy Tool in Blackboard Learn Original Course.
- Course copies will no longer be an option in Blackboard Manager.
