Student Employment - LAIC Workshop Coordinator
The LAIC Workshop Coordinator will assist the LAI full-time staff with all aspects of workshops for the campus community. Including but not limited to; scheduling, advertising, and maintaining the registration system. In addition, the coordinator will oversee and assist with creating, updating, and reviewing workshop materials.
Hours Per Week: 15-20
Starting Wage: $14.50/hour
Reports To: LAIC Management Team
NOTE: This position could qualify as a graduate assistantship. To be hired as a graduate assistant, the following criteria must be met:
1) the student is a graduate student being paid via a stipend instead of hourly
2) the student must work the number of hours agreed upon and specified in the student's Graduate Contract form
3) the student’s academic department must approve the work as being eligible for a tuition waiver
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform
all duties and responsibilities of the Learning Technology Assistant
- Create
workshop schedule by tasking LAIC students’ workshops based their
technology strengths
- Asses the
campus communities’ technology needs by planning semester offerings, and
evaluating the LAIC workshop program
- Oversee
and assist with developing, reviewing, editing, and updating workshop
materials
- In
collaboration with student staff, develop and teach workshops in various
areas of instructional technologies
- Flight
attend workshops (assist the trainer by helping attendees during the
class)
- Mentor
workshop leaders by providing them with feedback and instruction
- Work
closely with the Communications Specialist to develop and implement
marketing strategies to support workshops
- Maintain the
student training online registration system
- Develop workshop
recordings to use for staff training
- Other duties assigned

Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching, tutoring experience, and/or
training experience
- Experience writing documentation
- Proficiency
in one or more of the following: Adobe products, Microsoft products and
multimedia hardware and software.
