Purchasing Supported Computing Hardware
Information Technology (IT) works with the NDSU Bookstore to facilitate computer configurations and purchasing options for NDSU employees/departments.

New recommended printer purchases
Purchasing supported computer models provides robust functionality for most uses, improves service, and saves money by*:
- Full spectrum of IT support for the supported life of the hardware along with departmental consultation services in its use;
- Streamlining the research and order process;
- Utilizing hardware designed for long-life and commercial use (typical);
- Applying the largest discounts available to NDSU through contract buying;
- Allowing IT to inventory hardware rather than individuals or through the department
- Coordinate installation and setup specifics. Common hardware allows for quicker and more consistent installations that are schedule-able;
- Enhancing support through a common hardware base.
Computer prices below are subject to change without notice. Once an order is placed your department will receive an IDB (inter-departmental bill) from the Bookstore with the latest prices.
*Please note, IT only supports computers for employee/department purchases, not for student or personal use.

| CD-DVD-RW drives are no longer procured or supported through IT. With the move away from these drives by manufacturers, ITS recommends departments purchase and keep an external CD drive for common use among department members. |
