Virtual Open Lab

Logging In

1. Log into VMware Horizon
2. Enter your username and password (Bison Login)
3. Click on the computer icon labeled "Computer Lab"
   
4. Enter your username and password (Bison Login)
   
5. Approve the DUO prompt from your device to finish login.

Copying Your Files To Your Computer

Files saved to the virtual computer need to be moved to your local computer, or they will be lost

1. Click the gray tab on the left edge of your virtual window 
   
   
2. Click the Open File Transfer Panel button
   
   
   
3. Navigate to where the files are saved on the virtual desktop
4. Select the files you want to move
5. Press CTRL and C
6. Selected files will show up in the download list
7. Click the down arrow to save the files to your local computer
8. Files will now be saved to your local Downloads folder

How to upload files to the virtual lab from your computer

1. Log in to the NDSU Virtual Lab and open your desktop session.
2. Move your mouse to the left edge of the screen
3. Click the small gray tab. This will open the control menu .
4. Click “Open File Transfer Panel”.
5. Click on "Upload" button.

    6. Browse and find the file(s) you want to upload. or you can Drag and drop the file into the virtual lab.

  7. Check Documents or Downloads in the virtual lab. Your uploaded file should be there.

Logging Off

1. To log off the virtual machine, click the Sign Out icon on the desktop.
