Session Overview

This workshop will cover how to conduct basic video editing in Camtasia. Learners will import content, and perform basic editing tasks which include trimming, cutting, and more. 

Learning Goal

Learners will perform basic screen capture recording and video editing in Camtasia.

Learning Objectives

• Open and save new project
• Perform screen capture of simple software or web task
• Select capture area
• Test audio/video inputs
• Start and stop recording
• Import video, audio, and or image content and insert it into timeline
• Perform basic editing tasks including trimming, cutting, splitting, deleting, adding and moving content within the timeline
• Insert pan/zoom effects on video clips
• Insert callouts (text, arrows, shapes, etc) on video clips
• Utilize audio editing tools including noise reduction, sound leveling and volume control
• Export project and all assets for future editing needs
• ”Share” final video to mp4 file
