Student Employment - pointsolutions, part of Echo360 Specialist
The pointsolutions Specialist will assist the NDSU campus community with pointsolutions questions, training, and projects. The various responsibilities include, but are not limited to: developing both end-user and internal documentation, developing and teaching workshops, and assisting with Service Now (SNOW) tickets as needed. The pointsolutions Specialist will help assist in the IDC(as needed).
Hours Per Week: 10-25 (7 with pointsolutions Technologies)
Starting Wage: $15.50/hour
Reports To: PointSolutions Rep / IDC Full-time Staff
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform duties and responsibilities of the Learning Technology Assistant (as needed)
- Assist campus support staff (IDC and Help Desk) in SNOW
- Provide training to IDC student staff and other support staff; IDC and Help Desk
- Provide training for faculty
- Attend initial classes where pointsolutions Technologies are being used for the first time
- Identify all instructors using pointsolutions Technologies software or clickers on campus
- Communicate regular feedback to pointsolutions Account Consultant on use of product and campus needs
- Compile pointsolutions statistics for annual report
- Follow-up throughout the semester with all pointsolutions Technologies users (primary faculty)
- Attend regularly-scheduled meetings and training as scheduled by the supervisor and as required by the Student Technology Services (STS) program
- Continually encourage responsible use of NDSU computers
- Adhere to Student Technology Services work practices
- Adhere to NDSU Human Resources policies
- Maintain a high level of professional competency
- Deal with sensitive situations and information in a confidential manner
- Other duties assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills
- Committed to life-long learning
- Well-developed computer skills, including multimedia experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching, tutoring, and/or training experience
- Experience writing documentation
- Experience making video-based training materials
- PointSolutions account and experience using clickers
