Upcoming Blackboard Zoom LTI Update – Spring 2027 Courses

The Instructional Design Center (IDC) will update the Blackboard Zoom LTI during winter break. This update is intended to improve the Zoom experience for both instructors and students.

What does this mean for your Spring 2027 courses?

Spring courses are expected to be created starting October 30th and will take a few days to complete. Instructors are asked to wait to add Zoom links to their Spring 2027 courses until after the December update is complete. The update will break existing Zoom links in Blackboard, so waiting will help you avoid having to recreate them.

The tentative plan is to complete the update during the week of December 21. The IDC will send a follow-up communication once the update is complete and it is safe to begin adding Zoom links to your courses.

If you have any questions, please reach out to the Instructional Design Center (instructional.design@ndsu.edu).

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve the Blackboard Zoom experience!
