Using Vevox for Graded Polls in Blackboard

This page explains how to set up graded Vevox polls in Blackboard.

For a graded poll, please make sure you complete the following steps:

  1. Link the Vevox session in Blackboard following the steps mentioned here - Linking Vevox session to Blackboard.
  2. After linking the session, in Blackboard, click the three dots next to the integrated Vevox session link in Blackboard, edit the total points, and save your changes.

  3. Click the Vevox session link in Blackboard once. Once you see the message “Vevox dashboard must be opened in a new tab,” the setup is complete. This step is important. If the linked session is not opened in Blackboard at least once, students may not be able to access the session using the QR code or Session ID.

Note: The total points for an integrated Vevox session in Blackboard should be set immediately after linking the session and before students participate. Changing the total points after students have already participated will not recalculate grades that have already been synced to the Blackboard Gradebook. If the total points were not set correctly before participation, the affected grades will need to be updated manually in the Blackboard Gradebook.
