JMP Pro 18
JMP Pro 18 is now free for academic students, instructors, and academic researchers through their Bison Login. Please be aware that licensing for JMP is no longer through a license file on each device. Users need to sign-up for a MyJMP account in order to get their school account verified and to obtain a 12-month free subscription. After 12-months, please contact NDSU Software Licensing at ndsu.software.licensing@ndsu.edu or, the IT Service Center for getting information on the renewal process.
Note: Students, instructors, and academic researchers must be currently enrolled at or employed by a degree-granting institution.
Signing-up for MyJMP Account
Creating a free 'MyJMP' account is important for authentication, license verification as well as getting the downloadable JMP Pro 18 files for Windows & macOS. Here is a brief step by step instruction:
- Go to the JMP Pro 18 Student Edition site.
- N.B: Once email verification done, users will be able to select their affiliation as a student/faculty/academic researcher.
- Sign up with your name and NDSU email. It will then send a verification code to the NDSU email address you provided.
- Enter the code from your email. Accept the 'Terms of Use' to continue.
- Set your affiliation with NDSU (student/faculty/academic researcher) and provide with your course info, school name & other required information. ('Street Address' is optional)
- You will be redirected to verify your academic status. Hit Start and look for 'North Dakota State University' from the drop down.
- Login with your Bison Login to get the license verified as well as the installable files.
JMP Pro 18 for NDSU Computer Labs
JMP Pro 17 in the computer labs/classrooms has been replaced by version 18, which means it is NOT required to download the installer for NDSU labs/classrooms. However, Signing-up for a MyJMP Account is still required for license verification.
- Login to a lab or classroom computer.
- Look for the app JMP Pro 18 and launch it. You will be prompted to login to your MyJMP account after launching JMP Pro 18 and the software can only be used if your MyJMP account is created.
- In the dialog box, fill out the NDSU email address you used to register your MyJMP account and press Enter.
- Open your NDSU email box and select the email message from JMP that has your access code. Copy the access code.
- The JMP app will have a window prompting you for the email access code, paste the code you copied from email.
- Start using JMP Pro 18.
JMP Pro 18 for Non-Lab or Personal Computer
In order to download and use the software, first users must Sign-up for a MyJMP Account by visiting the link above.
- Launch JMP Pro 18 on your computer.
- You will be prompted to login to your MyJMP account. Fill out the NDSU email you signed up for your MyJMP account, then on the next screen provide the emailed code that was sent.
- Start using JMP Pro 18.
