Web Hosting - LAMP
Overview
NDSU CMS is the recommended web hosting environment, particularly if you require authoring support. For the web requirements that cannot be accommodated by CMS, we provide the self-support web environment "LAMP".
LAMP is an open source Web development platform that uses Linux as the operating system, Apache as the Web server, MySQL as the relational database management system and PHP as the object-oriented scripting language.
Note: This platform is provided "as is" and individual customizations will not be made. Users of this service are required to maintain their site without authoring support from IT. This platform is regularly updated (e.g. PHP or MySQL software updates may change major or minor software versions) and users are required to test functionality and fix any issues that result from regular routine upgrades. Installation of a CMS (e.g. WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, etc.) on this platform is not allowed.
