Central File Services - Instructions for Mobile Devices

Instructions for using Central File Services using mobile devices.

To access NDSU File Services from a mobile device, you will need to use an application that supports WebDAV. Examples include WebDAV Navigator for iOS, Android, Windows, and Blackberry, and Apple Pages, Keynote, and Numbers.

  1. If you do not have an application that supports WebDAV on your mobile device, go to your device's app store and search for "WebDAV." Select the app that best meets your needs, and then download and install that application.
  2. Use the drive path information below to connect to the server:
Path for Department Shared Drive: https://webd01.ad.ndsu.edu/shared
Path for Personal User Drive: https://webd01.ad.ndsu.edu/home
Path for Cross-Department Shared Drive: https://webd01.ad.ndsu.edu/global
  3. When prompted, enter your firstname.lastname@ndsu.edu (e.g., jane.smith@ndsu.edu) and enter the password associated with your NDSU electronic-ID.
  4. You should now be able to access your folders and files in that mapped drive from your mobile device.
