Student Employment - IDC Technology Assistant
Hours Per Week: 10-15
Starting Wage: $16.75 per/hour
Reports To: IDC Full-time Staff
The IDC Technology Assistant will assist the NDSU campus community with technology-related course work and projects, including multimedia projects. The various responsibilities include developing both end-user and internal documentation as needed, developing, and teaching technology workshops, and assisting with service tickets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one assistance
• Develop and review learning materials, tutorials, and other documentation
• Attend regularly scheduled meetings and training
• Develop and teach workshops in various areas of instructional technologies
• Assist customers with audio and video recordings
• Monitor the working condition of multimedia equipment and software, troubleshoot problems
• Assist full-time IDC staff with service tickets • Continually encourage responsible use of NDSU computers
• Adhere to Student Technology Services work practices
• Adhere to NDSU Human Resources policies
• Maintain a high level of professional competency
• Deal with sensitive situations and information in a confidential manner
• Other duties assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills
• Well-developed computer skills, including multimedia experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Teaching, tutoring experience, and/or training experience
• Experience writing documentation
• Experience in Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud and/or video editing software such as Camtasia
