Full Solicitation

The ND EPSCoR State Office is soliciting proposals to fund K-12 STEM outreach activities led by institutions of higher education, STEM science museums, and/or technology parks located in North Dakota. Proposals should focus on activities that build stronger STEM education and STEM identity for youth in the state. Of particular interest are activities that engage students and result in an increased awareness and interest in STEM careers.

Proposals will be evaluated for fit with ND EPSCoR’s mission and the current North Dakota Science and Technology Plan. Proposals that introduce innovative ideas, new initiatives, or expanded programming will be given priority over proposals seeking to continue or sustain existing programs.

Award amount: up to $15,000

Limitation: NDSU may submit one application to this call

Pre-proposal Requirements

In no more than one page, please provide:

• The names, titles, departments, and institutions of all project team members.
• A description of the proposed outreach activity, including the target K-12 audience, roles of individuals and partnering organizations, and how it aligns with best practice.
• A brief explanation of how the proposed project aligns with and advances the goals of ND EPSCoR and the ND Science and Technology Plan.

Deadlines and Key Dates

• Internal Date to submit one-page pre-proposal to ndsu.researchdev@ndsu.edu: November 18, 2026 by 12pm CST
• Internal Selection made: November 25, 2026 
• Full Proposal Due to ND EPSCoR: December 18, 2026 by 5pm CST

Limited submission grant programs are those that indicate a limit on the number of proposals that may be submitted by an institution for a particular deadline. A selection process becomes necessary if more applicants express interest in applying than NDSU is allowed to submit to the grant program.
