This partnership offers NDSU access to Honorlock as our preferred online proctoring solution. Universal Design/Accessibility
Honorlock aims to provide genuine accessibility for all users. They engage a third party to conduct a yearly end-to-end accessibility test across all workflows to ensure accessibility and build their Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT). Honorlock prioritizes flexible accommodations, integrates with assistive technology, and conforms to compliance standards and guidelines. - Does Honorlock detect Virtual Machines?
- Answer: Honorlock now detects when test takers use virtual machines or virtual cameras. If detected, they’ll be prompted to adjust their setup before starting the exam.
- Does Honorlock protect against built in AI Tools?
- Answer: Honorlock now blocks built-in browser AI tools such as Microsoft Edge Copilot and Chrome Lens during exams. This builds on our existing protections against Developer Tools and AI extensions.
- What happens if AI tools are detected?
- Answer: The exam pauses automatically and the test taker is notified. For Live Pop-In exams, a proctor reviews activity in real time.
