FAQs

  • Does Honorlock detect Virtual Machines?
    • Answer: Honorlock now detects when test takers use virtual machines or virtual cameras. If detected, they’ll be prompted to adjust their setup before starting the exam.
  • Does Honorlock protect against built in AI Tools?
    • Answer: Honorlock now blocks built-in browser AI tools such as Microsoft Edge Copilot and Chrome Lens during exams. This builds on our existing protections against Developer Tools and AI extensions.
  • What happens if AI tools are detected?
    • Answer: The exam pauses automatically and the test taker is notified. For Live Pop-In exams, a proctor reviews activity in real time.
