Weekly Email Limit Campus-Wide

The weekly email limit for the whole campus is 300,000 emails in a rolling 7-day cycle. This total is for every email you've sent from your NDSU email account for the past seven days. All email types are included, including reminders, invites, general emails, and thank you emails. 

Why Is There A Weekly Email Limit?

Both NDSU and Qualtrics limit the number of weekly emails to avoid having anyone's emails tagged as spam or added to the blacklist. When emails are tagged as spam they are filtered out through email service providers spam filters.

Can We Increase The Email Limit For A Large Project?

To ask to get the email limit increased for a large project you will need to create a support ticket with NDSU ITS with the following information:

• The email limit being requested
• A description of the project(s).
• A general description of who is being surveyed (student body, small business owners in MN/ND, purchased panel, etc.)
• How long the limit must be in place (once or several times per year).
